CT-Sen: Lamont campaign laments lack of help from national Democrats

This excellent The Hill article Lamont campaign laments lack of help from national Democrats shows how utterly completely the D.C. Dem. establishment and CT Dem. Establishment abandoned Ned Lamont after the primary.

It's a long article, I hope I'm not exceeding fair-use, but there are so many interesting bits to select from. There's much more, definitely check out the whole thing.

But while Lieberman has built a war chest worthy of a major-party candidate for his independent bid, Lamont has received almost no money from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and only token contributions from Senate Democrats' political action committees.

Lamont has spent heavily from his own fortune, including $8.5 million in October alone, and now ranks as the fourth-highest self-funder of all-time at nearly $15 million.

The Connecticut race has also rarely shown up in DSCC press releases and doesn't appear on the committee's "Fudge Report" website, which contains hundreds of links to information and videos of competitive races. Since the primary, coverage of the story has waned in the national media.
