But while Lieberman has built a war chest worthy of a major-party candidate for his independent bid, Lamont has received almost no money from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and only token contributions from Senate Democrats' political action committees.Lamont has spent heavily from his own fortune, including $8.5 million in October alone, and now ranks as the fourth-highest self-funder of all-time at nearly $15 million.
The Connecticut race has also rarely shown up in DSCC press releases and doesn't appear on the committee's "Fudge Report" website, which contains hundreds of links to information and videos of competitive races. Since the primary, coverage of the story has waned in the national media.
